What goes down sometimes comes back up
Had a nice Saturday planned. Studied most of the day for my java certification exam. Later went to Barnes & Noble with my hubby and little booger. It was near dinnertime so we decided to check out Red Robin - famous for their burgers.
What a great place! Busy, fun, balloons and Scooby Doo on the tv! We ordered and our food arrived quickly. Cameron only took a few bites of his burger and fries and said right away "all done". I'm used to hearing that phrase so I told him we were still eating and we were almost done too.
Then he started to whine "all done" several more times and started looking around in a panic. I didn't know what was wrong so put my arms out and asked if he wanted mommy. He reached for me and I picked him and put him on my lap. He put his head on my shoulder. I'm thinking "oh the poor thing must be so tired, he'll probably go to bed early...OHMIGOD!!!" Suddenly his mouth opened and out comes everything in the little guy's tummy. I saw oranges and noodles from lunch and other delicious looking items pour out in a flood. The puke went all over his sweatshirt, all over my sweater and all over my jeans. I turned him towards the table and he threw up into my meal. My hubby, who usually can not even handle the sound of throwing up, reached for Cameron and said "I'll clean him up, you clean yourself up" and took off for the bathroom.
The staff were unbelievable, within seconds this wonderful guy brought me towels, both dry and wet. I felt like 50 eyes were on me as I scooped puke out from between my legs. I just had to laugh. The woman next to me said "Fun Saturday night so far, eh?" and smiled.
We finally got out of there and went home. Cameron hit the sack almost immediately. My mom called me later and I recapped the events of the evening to her. She proceeded to remind me of the many times I threw up in public places and she had herself a big laugh. Good to know the puking circle has not been broken....
